Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 18 months of true telemetry experience and Cerner proficiency.
Details
- Hospital-based Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units is required
- Must be willing to care for COVID-positive patients
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Patient population includes pre- and post-cardiac cath patients, sheath management, and patients requiring drip titration
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 18 months of true telemetry/cardiac nursing experience required
- Experience with titrating drips, pre/post cardiac cath care, and sheath management required
- Cerner EMR experience required — no exceptions
- Prior travel nursing experience required — no exceptions
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Travelers must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher; exam covers lethal rhythms and is mandatory to pass
- 8 cardiac CEUs and 8 stroke CEUs are required for this telemetry placement
- Navy blue scrubs required
- No block scheduling will be added to the contract
- Time off requests submitted after hiring will not be approved
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
