Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our Procurement team. This role is responsible for gathering, interpreting, and analyzing procurement-related data to support strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost control, and operational efficiency. You will play a critical role in turning raw data into actionable insights that drive purchasing decisions, optimize supplier performance, and support long-term supply chain strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, forecast demand, and monitor supplier performance.
- Build dashboards and reports that provide visibility into procurement KPIs (e.g., spend analysis, supplier lead times, compliance, pricing trends).
- Collaborate with procurement managers to evaluate bids, track contract compliance, and assess supplier risk.
- Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to support sourcing strategies and contract negotiations.
- Clean and structure large datasets from ERP systems, spreadsheets, and external sources for analysis.
- Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support category management with analysis of total cost of ownership (TCO), supplier scorecards, and procurement metrics.
- Identify anomalies or inefficiencies in the procurement process and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Assist in vendor onboarding, procurement audits, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity in supplier records, item master files, and purchase order histories.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Finance, or relevant experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in a data or procurement analyst role (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement modules.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and supplier management principles is a plus.
