Pharmacist Community Retail (13-Week Temp-to-Perm) Los Alamos, NM

Summary:
A busy community retail pharmacy in Los Alamos, NM is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13-week contract with the possibility of permanent placement. The pharmacy processes approximately 600 prescriptions per day and uses the Pioneer system. Flexibility with shift start times and rotating weekend coverage is required.

Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 6:30 PM
Saturday, 9:00 AM 2:00 PM (rotating weekends)
Shifts may begin at either 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM
13-week temp-to-perm assignment

Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee pharmacy technicians in daily operations
Provide patient counseling and support with prescriptions
Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only, no compounding)
Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment

Requirements:
Active New Mexico pharmacist license in good standing
Experience with non-sterile compounding verification preferred
High-volume pharmacy background is a plus
