Job Description

Lead The Way K9 Training and Boarding in Delaware, Ohio is hiring a FT and PT AM/PM Kennel Tech(s). Schedule will be FLEXIBLE Monday through Sunday 630am - 3:30pm OR possibly 1pm - 10pm. PT option is FLEXIBLE Monday through Friday, 630am - 12pm. SPLIT SHIFT OPTION IS POSSIBLE - 6:30am - 10:30am then BACK 4:30 - 10:30 PM ($50 bonus for ANY split shift worked). This position does require holidays, with time and a half holiday pay. Some weekends needed. Daily shift includes 1 hour lunch (30 minutes for PT). We're looking to hire and start training immediately. Ideally, we're looking for someone with experience who lives within 15-20 minutes of downtown Delaware, Ohio. The facilities are located 5 miles west of downtown Delaware. Starting pay is $16 - $20/hour based on experience. There's a 6 month performance evaluation which may provide an additional pay increase.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing food, water, meds as needed, cleaning kennels, and assisting with social playtime for dogs. You will be asked to assist with preparing dogs for pet services like bathing/grooming or helping with check ins and check-outs, laundry, dishes, cleaning up after dogs in play yards and helping to monitor dog socials and learn dog behavior. As part of your duties and responsibilities you may be asked to lift up to 40lbs. It is a physical job, so if you do not like manual labor, this is not a job for you.

Previous dog handling experiences preferred. We are looking for hard working, positive minded go getters that LOVE dogs!

These are two positions, one FT and one PT - both will average between 30-40 hours weekly with 1 hour for lunch included (30 minutes for PT). Interviews start February 17th, one interview per day between 12:30 - 1pm Tuesday through Friday. we're planning to hire, train, and have our next superstar working this month. There is 1 Interview times Tuesday-Friday from 12:30pm and 1pm.
