What's your day like?
As a new Pharmacy Technician at Fourth Street Clinic, your day-to-day expectations will be both dynamic and fulfilling. You'll start your week bright and early at 8 AM, diving into medication preparation, inventory management, and patient interactions. Expect to assist pharmacists in reviewing prescriptions and ensuring accuracy, all while providing top-notch customer service with a friendly smile. Your responsibilities will also include organizing medication shelves, processing orders, and helping educate patients about their prescriptions.
You'll thrive in a collaborative atmosphere, engaging with a team that values transparency and accountability. Your schedule will run Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 6 PM, allowing you to enjoy a balanced work-life rhythm while making a positive impact in the community every day!
Are you the Pharmacy Technician we're looking for?
To thrive as a Pharmacy Technician at Fourth Street Clinic, several key skills and qualifications will set you up for success. First and foremost, you must possess an active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the State of Utah. Familiarity with electronic medical records and experience working in a medical office is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills will also help you navigate daily tasks effectively. Your experience in public health settings or with underserved populations will be invaluable, as you'll be working to ensure positive patient outcomes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are crucial, with a focus on accurately prioritizing the pharmacy's needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will aid your interactions, along with top-notch customer service skills, a dose of empathy, and the ability to de-escalate situations when needed. While being credentialed to immunize is a plus, it's not mandatory. Lastly, being able to lift 25 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift is important for managing prescriptions and inventory. Speaking Spanish is also a bonus!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the State of Utah.
- Experience in the use of electronic medical records or experience in a medical office.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer proficiency.
- Experience in working with underserved populations or in public health settings.
- Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; with emphasis on accurate prioritization of the pharmacy's needs.
- Excellent written/verbal communications skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, empathetic and the ability to de-escalate.
- Credentialed/certified to immunize preferred but not required.
- Able to lift 25 pounds.
- Able to stand and fill prescriptions for up to the duration of a full shift.
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
