Job Description

Position: Ambulatory Registered Dietitian (RD) – Medical Weight Loss & Bariatric Focus


Shift: 8-hour days or 10-hour days (4x10 or 5x10 schedule)

Location: Seaford, DE (1 day every 2 weeks in Salisbury; typically every other Friday)

Salary: $58,780.80–$91,124.80 (commensurate with experience)


Sign-On Bonus:

  • $5,000 for new grads
  • $10,000 for 1+ years of experience


Schedule & Work-Life Balance:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nutrition guidance and counseling for pre- and post-bariatric surgery and medical weight loss patients
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized dietary recommendations
  • Analyze patient data, assess nutrition status, and create nutrition care plans
  • Serve as co-administrator on online applications/software for bariatric patients
  • Assist in center development, patient education, and staff education on nutrition
  • Maintain up-to-date Nutrition Guide based on current guidelines
  • Act as liaison between weight loss center, bariatric coordinator, and surgeons
  • Lead support groups (e.g., System Bariatric Support Group/Boot Camp) and track attendance
  • Participate in metabolic and bariatric surgery team rounds, meetings, and committees
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in QI activities to meet MBSAQIP Accreditation
  • Perform other duties to support program growth

Requirements:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
  • Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in Delaware and Maryland (reimbursement available for missing state registration)
  • Clinical nutrition experience preferred (1+ year)
  • Degree in Nutrition or related field preferred
  • Epic platform experience a plus
