Job DescriptionTitle: Drafter II Location: Remote (Not eligible in New York, California, Hawaii, Connecticut, New Jersey, Oregon, Missouri) Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire Salary: $23–$35/hr Benefits: Medical, dental, vision Sterling Engineering is looking for a Drafter II. This opportunity is with a growing engineering team supporting multi-scale CAD design and permitting workflows. Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Develop plan and detail views in CAD across multiple scales.</li>
<li>Review DOT and county permit requests.</li>
<li>Apply core CAD commands, standards, and workflows.</li>
<li>Export and compile CAD drawings into PDF format.</li>
<li>Interpret markups and revisions to update drawings accurately.</li>
<li>Work independently in a fully remote environment.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>2+ years of professional CAD experience in an engineering or related industry.</li>
<li>Experience working in Model Space and Paper Space.</li>
<li>Advanced AutoCAD proficiency, including tools, standards, and workflows.</li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).</li>
<li>Drafting certification, degree, or equivalent experience preferred.</li>
