A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations across a range of private sector projects, including retail, office, industrial, and tenant improvement work.

The Role
The Superintendent will be responsible for leading day-to-day field operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
This role requires someone who can operate independently on-site, coordinate subcontractors effectively, and work closely with Project Managers to drive successful project execution.
Success in this position means maintaining strong control over schedule, quality, and site coordination, while fostering a productive and safety-focused jobsite.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations from project start through completion
- Manage and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site activities
- Enforce job site safety standards and maintain compliance
- Ensure all work meets quality expectations and project specifications
- Partner closely with Project Managers on scheduling and execution strategies
- Participate in project meetings, including OAC meetings as required
- Ensure alignment with construction drawings, specifications, and client expectations
Requirements
- Experience working as a Superintendent with a general contractor
- Background in commercial construction, with exposure to tenant improvement (TI) projects preferred
- Strong ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple trades
- Proven ability to run projects independently in the field
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore) is a plus

- Experience working in smaller, fast-paced construction teams
- Exposure to a variety of commercial project types (retail, office, industrial)
