Pay: $33/hr

Team: Helix / Robot Learning

Type: Full-time, Contract

Schedule:

  • Thursday- Monday 10:30pm- 7am

The Role

As a Robot Data Collector, you will play a hands-on role in training humanoid robots by collecting high-quality motion and interaction data. You’ll work directly with robots and sensor systems, performing structured physical tasks that generate the data used to train and refine AI models.

This is an ideal role for candidates excited about robotics, physical systems, and contributing directly to the development of next-generation humanoid intelligence.

What You’ll Do

  • Collect high-quality motion and behavior data by performing physical tasks using wearable sensor equipment (VR headset)
  • Guide humanoid robots through human-like movements and interactions to support AI training
  • Monitor data quality and flag issues, anomalies, or equipment problems during collection sessions
  • Provide clear, structured feedback to engineering and AI teams on data quality and robot behavior
  • Follow defined safety, setup, and shutdown procedures for robots and sensor hardware
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe data collection workspace
  • Support continuous improvement of data collection workflows and procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong physical coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay focused and engaged during repetitive or extended physical tasks
  • Comfortable standing, moving, and performing guided motions for extended periods (8+ hours)
  • Ability to quickly learn and execute new physical tasks with consistency
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve performance
  • Enthusiasm for robotics, AI, and cutting-edge technology

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience working with robots, motion capture systems, or wearable sensor equipment
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations, athletics, performance arts, or physical training
  • Interest in growing into future roles such as Robot Operator, Pilot Support, or Technical Specialist

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
