Job DescriptionSalary: $99,440 - $154,132 DOE/DOQ
THE POSITION:
Oversee all phases of construction projects. Coordinates material and equipment and ensures that specifications are followed and work proceeds on schedule and within budget.
The incumbent is expected to work in accordance with the mission, purpose, and values of the Colusa Indian Community Council.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trade knowledge and confidence in all aspects of residential and light commercial construction.
- Select and coordinate work of architects / engineers / subcontractors who work on various phases of the project.
- Ability to provide field/shop drawings.
- Ability to provide conceptual drawings 2d or 3d, present to team/ group for approval and perform requested changes.
- Responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
- Correct safety violations or other reported deficiencies.
- Prepare yearly Construction departmental budget; prepare project budgets for Housing and Tribal Construction development.
- Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve project completion within budget.
- Report any necessary modifications of plans as needed
- Ability to utilize and be highly proficient in survey instruments, GPS, and Total Stations to survey and stake projects.
- Always Maintain high confidentiality standards; required to sign a confidentiality statement upon acceptance of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience: A BS in Construction Management or a related field with 5 years minimum experience assisting or supervising construction projects or at least 10 years Construction Management experience in replace of education.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid California Drivers license
- Software: Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Civil 3D experience required.
SUPERVISORIAL DUTIES: Manage all Construction personnel.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- Must have the ability to write reports, contracts and business correspondence.
- Requires the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Must be able to navigate through Excel and Outlook applications.
- Must be able to navigate a jobsite that is under construction to ensure the proper construction practices have been used.
- Ensure the project is completed on time and on budget.
- Anticipate and exceed expectations while maintaining focus on the goal of minimizing production delays and cost overruns.
- Motivated and meticulous regarding project goals.
- Sense of urgency toward project completion.
- Sense of pride in the quality of craftsmanship.
- Dedicated hard worker with ability to report to work on a daily basis.
