Employment Solutions is currently seeking a reliable and organized Mailroom & Office Support Associate to manage daily mailroom operations and provide general office support. This role is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail and shipments, maintaining office supplies, and assisting with facility-related tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations. Office located in Parsippany, NJ.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30am -3:30 PM (37.50 hours per week)
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and freight
- Create shipping labels for FedEx and USPS packages and schedule pickups using online systems
- Utilize a postage machine to weigh mail and apply appropriate postage
- Coordinate with colleagues in other offices to facilitate shipments as needed
- Deliver mail, packages, and office supplies to internal departments
- Retrieve mail and packages from departments and prepare items for shipment
- Retrieve and deliver mail from the post office
- Maintain and manage office supply inventory
- Assist with kitchen and janitorial supply inventory and replenishment orders
- Provide basic maintenance support for office furniture and business machines, including ordering mailroom consumables
- Escort guests and vendors while they are on site
- Prepare cubicles and offices for new employees
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in mailroom, office support, administrative, or facilities support roles preferred
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, memos, safety rules, and user manuals
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to respond to inquiries and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact professionally with employees, guests, and vendors
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
