Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs a wide range of diagnostic testing with precision and efficiency. This role requires strong analytical abilities, independent judgment, and strict adherence to established laboratory protocols while working within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple departments (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, etc.)
- Analyze specimens and validate results with accuracy and attention to detail
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of laboratory instruments and analyzers
- Follow all quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
- Florida Licensed Medical Technologist required
- Associate’s Degree (A.A.) required
- Relevant laboratory experience required
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing principles, instrumentation, and safety
