About Kissy
Kissy is a ready-to-pour espresso martini in a 750mL bottle, built for the way high-volume bars actually operate: fast service, consistent pours, less strain on the bar team, and a drink guests already want. The espresso martini is one of the most-ordered cocktails in the country right now, and it isn't slowing down.
We are founder-led by people who have built consumer brands before, growing across New York's best bars and restaurants, and building the sales and distribution engine around a simple idea: open the right accounts, support them properly, and turn first orders into steady reorders.
We are looking for a NYC Sales Lead to own the market from the field.
The role
You own the NYC number.
This is a field-first sales role for someone who already knows the rooms that matter: bars, restaurants, hotels, clubs, buyers, GMs, bartenders, and distributor reps. Your job is to open high-quality on-premise accounts, turn those openings into repeat orders, and make Kissy impossible to ignore in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
This is not a desk job. It is a route, a relationship business, and a number you own.
You will work directly with the founders, coordinate with our distributor partners, keep the account list and pipeline honest, and help set the standard for a junior rep in the field. Think player-coach: mostly selling, always leading.
What you'll do
• Open and grow on-premise accounts across Manhattan and Brooklyn, including bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels, and high-volume hospitality groups.
• Turn first orders into consistent reorders. The reorder is the whole game.
• Build and own the NYC account master, target list, pipeline, and weekly sales cadence.
• Work alongside the founders and distributor partners to make sure accounts can order, reorder, and get support quickly.
• Lead from the front in the field and help coach a junior rep on routes, follow-up, account quality, and standards.
• Run staff trainings, menu pushes, tastings, and brand activations when they help drive real sell-through.
• Bring market feedback back to the founders: what buyers are saying, what is converting, what is not, and where Kissy should go next.
What we're looking for
• Roughly 3+ years selling on-premise in NYC, ideally in spirits, wine, beer, RTD, beverage, or hospitality-adjacent sales.
• Live buyer, GM, bartender, or distributor relationships in NYC right now.
• A real track record of opening accounts and holding them, not just landing one-time placements.
• Someone who can run their own route without needing a manager over their shoulder.
• High-integrity operator who keeps clean notes, tells the truth about the pipeline, and treats company resources like their own.
• Comfortable being measured by account openings, reorder velocity, account quality, and revenue.
• Legally eligible to promote and handle alcoholic beverage products in New York, and able to work evenings, weekends, and in-market events as needed.
• NYC-based and ready to be in the field.
Nice to have
• Distributor or three-tier experience.
• Experience launching or scaling an early-stage beverage, spirits, or hospitality brand.
• A strong existing book in neighborhoods like SoHo, LES, Meatpacking, the Village, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bushwick, and other high-volume on-premise pockets.
• Comfort selling both the brand story and the operational value: speed, consistency, margin, and ease for the bar team.
Compensation
$75,000 base salary plus uncapped commission.
This is a commission-eligible role with expected first-year on-target earnings around $105,000 and upside for overperformance. We pay on reorders, not just new doors, because a lasting book beats a pile of one-time placements.
We are early, so this is not a big-company benefits seat. The tradeoff is real ownership of the NYC market, a product that is easy to understand, a compensation plan that rewards closers who build durable accounts, and a pathway to equity and a bigger title for the person who builds this market with us.
Why this role is different
This is not rep #37 carrying another SKU in a giant portfolio.
You will be one of the first people building Kissy's NYC sales engine. You will have a clear market, a focused product, direct access to the founders, and the chance to make your account book matter from day one.
If you know NYC on-premise, can open doors, and know how to turn a first order into a second, this is the seat.
How to apply
Tell us a few NYC accounts you think are obvious Kissy fits and why. Bonus if you already have relationships there.
Company DescriptionKissy is a ready-to-pour espresso martini in a 750mL bottle. We pour a great one in seconds, no bartender and no build, for the bars that move fast and the people who don't like to wait.
We started in New York, in the rooms that set the trend: SoHo, the Lower East Side, Meatpacking, NoMad. The espresso martini is the cocktail of the moment, and we're building the brand that owns it. Founder-led, early, and growing quickly, with a lot still to build and the people who build it sitting close to the decisions.
Working here means real ownership, direct access to the founders, and the chance to put your fingerprints on something while it's still being shaped. We move fast, we keep our word, and we'd rather hire someone hungry than someone comfortable.
If that sounds like you, we should talk.
