Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic role supporting students across diverse K-12 settings as an Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity is based on-site near Torrance, CA, starting August 11, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027. The role is full-time, with assignments and caseloads varying by school and itinerant needs within the district. Your expertise will help shape students’ academic, behavioral, and functional success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, valid Occupational Therapy license in California
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Prior experience or working knowledge of school-based OT services
  • Strong familiarity with educational terminology, standardized assessments, and the special education process
  • Comfort working independently and adapting to itinerant schedules
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with educators, families, and students from kindergarten through twelfth grade

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and implement evidence-based OT interventions for students on assigned caseloads
  • Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize standardized tools and OT best practices to address students’ academic and functional needs
  • Maintain thorough documentation and timely progress reports
  • Provide consultative support and training to school staff as needed
  • Adapt service delivery across multiple sites and age groups, as assignments may change
  • Stay informed on educational guidelines and occupational therapy best practices
