Location: Manhattan, NY 10025
Duration: 9 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Schedule:
- Shifts Available:
- Days: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Evenings: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Workdays: Monday – Friday + Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Compensation:
- Local Pay: $2,300 – $2,760/week (based on experience)
- Travel Pay: $3,000 – $3,400/week (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging in a fast-paced radiology department. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety, maintain imaging accuracy, and adhere to all regulatory and radiation safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans using appropriate kV and mA techniques for high-quality imaging
- Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment
- Administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and compliance records
- Perform quality assurance and safety testing
- Adhere to radiation safety standards in compliance with ALARA principles
- Manage and retrieve patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation
- Order and verify radiopharmaceutical doses prior to administration
- Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience – required
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (LRT) – required
- ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT – required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and procedures
- Ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in imaging
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Attention to detail and compliance with safety standards
