We are seeking dynamic middle school teachers across core content areasELA, Math, Science, and Social Studieswho can design and deliver rigorous, engaging instruction while building classrooms where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired.This is a role for educators who love their content, believe deeply in student potential, and are committed to preparing students for high school and beyond.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver standards-aligned, high-quality instruction in your content areaSubmit weekly lesson overviews and maintain strong, thoughtful lesson plansUse data to drive instruction and ensure student masteryDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learnersBuild a structured, positive, high-expectations classroom cultureMaintain a beautiful, organized classroom that showcases student learning, including regularly updated bulletin boards and displaysCollaborate closely with arts teachers to plan and support school-based events, including performances, art exhibits, and science fairs, and actively participate in these events, including those that take place beyond the school dayCommunicate regularly with families, including parent-teacher conferencesCollaborate with grade teams and content teams to plan instruction, analyze data, and refine practiceParticipate in ongoing professional development and coaching cyclesWhat Were Looking For:Strong content knowledge in ELA, Math, Science, or Social StudiesStrong instructional planning and executionExcellent writing and communication skillsProficiency with instructional technologyStrong classroom management and culture-building skillsGrowth mindset and openness to feedbackCollaborative team playerPassion for the arts and creative instructionQualifications:Bachelors degree required (Masters preferred)NYS Teaching Certification (or in progress) in relevant subject areaExperience teaching middle school students preferredBilingual (Spanish) is a plusCompensation$67,000 to $98,000 annuallyBenefits:403(b) retirement plan, with up to 3% employer match after one year of serviceHealth Insurance, with free options available for self and childrenDental and Vision InsuranceLife, Short and Long Term Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountBronx Arts is an equal opportunity employer.
