Art Instructor

Position Summary:
We areseekinga compassionate and creativeArt Instructorto lead adaptive art classes for adults with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be a practicing artist or experienced art educator who can design and deliver inclusive lessons tailored to a wide range of abilities, interests, and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, accessible art lessons for individualsandsmall groups.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Create a welcoming, supportive, and safe studio environment.
- Collaborate with support staff and program coordinators.
- Encourage self-expression and celebrate individual creativity and progress.
- Maintain art supplies and ensure cleanliness and safety in the work area.
- Document progress and provide feedback to theprogram/service
coordinator.
- Provide transportation (companyvehicle) as needed to get to/fromevents.
- Assistwith grant writingandsourcing other artists as visiting instructors
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.).
- Experience teaching or working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, and a passion for inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Backgroundand fingerprintingcheckrequiredupon hiring.

Benefits: Full-time (36-40 hoursper week) Hours will vary between 8 AM and 5 PM, M-F.
