Job Details
• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Job Requirements
• Must have current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment.
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Pharmacology exam required prior to start and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% score.
• Completion of specialty exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score.
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated yearly with minimum 80% score.
• Documentation of required vaccinations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, and TB testing as specified.
• Health statement or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually thereafter.
• Must provide valid driver's license or state ID as required for submission.
• Completion of required background checks and verifications including criminal background, EPLS, employment verification, education verification, and professional references.

Schedule Information
• Contract length is 13 weeks.

• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
• Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules required.
• Cerner test results and training checklist with signed attestation required.
• Ascension Skills Checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually.
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen required within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
