Job Title: Construction Materials Tester, $20/hr.
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Construction Materials Testers. A clean driving record is essential. In this role, you will utilize an iPad for observation and documentation at both new construction and preconstruction job sites. Your daily and weekly schedules will be provided on the iPad, so you know your destinations ahead of time. You will begin your work at subdivision developments, focusing on the inspection, observation, and documentation of piping installations. After gaining experience, you will transition to new construction projects, including warehouses and apartment communities. Within a month, you will be trained to use nuclear density gauges.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and document piping installation at subdivision developments.
- Transition to observing and documenting new construction projects for warehouses and apartment communities.
- Utilize and be trained on nuclear density gauges after one month.
- Use an iPad to manage daily and weekly schedules and to document job site observations.
- Travel to job sites, which may be up to two hours away.
Essential Skills
- General labor experience.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to navigate apps on a mobile device or iPad.
- Experience in concrete, construction, materials testing, and inspection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ACI certification is advantageous.
- Type 1 or 2 testing certifications are a plus.
- Must possess own steel toe boots; other PPE such as high-visibility vests will be provided.

Work Environment
Work primarily takes place at new construction developments or construction job sites. The typical schedule is from 7 AM to 4 PM or 5 PM, with the possibility of working four 10-hour days. During busy periods in the summer and fall, the schedule can extend up to 60 hours a week. Average weekly hours are between 40 and 60.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
