Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a qualified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to support students in the Chattanooga area. This contract position requires an on-site presence throughout the assignment and is not open to hybrid or remote arrangements. The role involves working closely with children on individualized schedules within the local school district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of assigned students.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to promote student academic and communication success.
- Manage caseload according to student schedules and educational goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education certification in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education.
- Ability to start immediately with availability through May 21, 2026.
- Experience working with school-age children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Willingness to work full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) on-site.
- Preference given to candidates with 0+ years of relevant experience.
