Construction Foreman – Site, Roadway, and Sports lighting Lighting Installation

Position Overview:

As a Construction Foreman, you will oversee the daily operations of site, roadway, and sports lighting installation projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and to our high standards of quality. You’ll be responsible for guiding and supporting team members, operating equipment, and managing layout and concrete work to achieve precise, effective installations. Electrical experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage site lighting installation projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Oversee layout and concrete work for lighting installations to ensure accurate placement and foundation strength.
  • Operate various construction equipment, including but not limited to loaders, excavators, and concrete mixers.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with crew members, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Maintain a safe job site, promoting and adhering to LMI’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues as they arise, leveraging problem-solving skills and field experience.
  • Ability to recognize changes in scope or conditions and relay same to project manager.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or foreman role within the construction industry, with a focus on site, Roadway, or Sports lighting projects.
  • Skills: Proficiency in layout, concrete work, and equipment operation (required).
  • Equipment Operation: Hands-on experience operating construction equipment (loaders, excavators, mixers) with a strong emphasis on safe operation.
  • Communication: Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills to guide crews and maintain project momentum.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to perform physical tasks on-site and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Safety Focused: Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Logistical and Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain daily logs, ensuring permits and inspections are in order.
  • Collect timesheets and manage equipment readiness.
  • Submit incident and accident reports promptly.

Working Conditions:

  • 8 or 10-hour workdays with overtime as needed
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, bending, and lifting up to 51 pounds

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and perform overhead work throughout the day
  • Good vision (normal or corrected)
