We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Cosentino's Price Chopper #157. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) with a strong commitment to patient care, medication safety, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing pharmacy operations efficiently while adhering to the highest ethical standards. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for medication dispensation, patient education, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Must have a current, in good-standing license in the State of Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions, ensuring patient safety and adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide comprehensive patient education and counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, optimizing efficiency and ensuring timely prescription fulfillment.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals, while minimizing waste.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Perform medication therapy management (MTM) services, as appropriate, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and contribute to a positive team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including drug interactions, dosages, and side effects.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication dispensation processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- General knowledge of inventory management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Experience with medication therapy management (MTM) services.
- Experience with workflow management and process improvement.
