Base Location: Providence, KY

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (40 hours per week)


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing & Credentialing Officer to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting our organization’s mission by managing purchasing activities across multiple clinics while ensuring all medical providers are properly credentialed and compliant with regulatory standards.

Summary of Duties

The Purchasing & Credentialing Officer supports organizational operations by consolidating purchasing activities across all clinics and ensuring financial documentation related to purchasing is accurate and complete. This role also oversees the credentialing and re-credentialing process for all providers delivering patient care within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Essential Responsibilities

Purchasing & Procurement

  • Request and review vendor quotes and prepare accurate purchase orders.
  • Ensure purchases follow organizational procurement policies and obtain required approvals.
  • Place orders for approved goods/services and coordinate delivery to appropriate clinic locations.
  • Maintain organized records of purchase orders, quotes, shipping documents, and invoices.
  • Submit completed purchasing documentation to the accounting department for payment processing.
  • Maintain purchasing policies, vendor records, and assist with vendor selection based on cost, quality, and performance.
  • Monitor purchasing and service contracts, including renewals, performance expectations, and compliance.
  • Resolve vendor discrepancies and purchasing-related issues as needed.

Provider Credentialing

  • Manage provider credentialing, re-credentialing, and enrollment processes.
  • Conduct background investigations and primary source verification for provider credentials.
  • Monitor applications, address discrepancies, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of provider licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and other required documentation.
  • Respond to credentialing inquiries from internal departments and external healthcare organizations.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree in a health-related field or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for education with a minimum of three (3) years of purchasing and credentialing experience in a healthcare organization. Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.


Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, time management, organization, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance and be willing to submit a background check and oral drug screen.
