Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position is for a Special Education Teacher providing services for a high school special populations program. This 0.6 FTE role involves approximately 24 hours per week as a case manager, working Monday through Thursday for 5 hours each day, and Friday for 4 hours. The position is based in Portland, Oregon, and serves students across grades K-12 in a contract, continuous school year (CSY) format.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage individualized education programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records and ply with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred, particularly in special education.
- Strong munication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
