Our production depends on reliable controls. You’ll be the specialist who keeps PLCs, HMIs, robots, and supporting electrical systems running safely and efficiently—tuning programs, wiring panels, and solving issues before they impact throughput.
Key responsibilities
- 5‑day workweek with options for weekend and off‑shift overtime.
- Apply strong electrical/electronic/mechanical fundamentals across equipment.
- Troubleshoot control systems and component‑level issues.
- Install, wire, configure, and verify control hardware/software.
- Program, calibrate, and debug PLC/HMI applications—primary focus on Allen‑Bradley; exposure to Siemens.
- Maintain compliance with safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Execute routine maintenance; repair equipment to restore performance.
- Conduct inspections to proactively catch and correct issues.
- Address electrical/control faults quickly to reduce downtime.
- Partner with Maintenance and the Controls Engineer on upgrades and modifications for smooth integration.
- Support robotics: troubleshooting, programming tweaks, and preventive care with maintenance techs.
- Use basic vision‑system knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot components.
- Maintain precise maintenance and repair documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED; Associate’s in Electrical Engineering or relevant certifications/experience.
- Minimum 2 years in controls with emphasis on Allen‑Bradley systems.
- Experience with robotics in manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to vision systems preferred.
- Proficient reading of electrical schematics/blueprints.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
- Works independently and collaborates effectively.
- Excellent communicator; detail‑focused.
- Overtime beyond 40 hours/week is required and is an essential function.
