Quality Control Technician
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Control Technician to join our production
team. This position is responsible for ensuring the companys quality standard for all
product & service quality issues. Responsibilities include inspections of Label Aid
products, communication to team members, managers, customers, suppliers, and other
outside services.
Responsibilities:
Approve in-process production (inspect products to ensure that they meet quality
standards, conducting visual checks of color, part numbers).
Approve all finished production before shipping.
Return products and RMAs for re-work if needed and complete documentation.
Develop and implement quality system and procedures.
Proposing improvements to the production process.
Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product.
Lead and develop corrective action plans alongside production, customer service,
sales and art department.
Facilitate root cause and corrective action meetings, coordinating cross departmental
input to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Manage risk assessments across the plant, including handling non-conforming
products to minimize losses, ensure traceability, and implement measures to prevent
recurrence.
Establish regular quality training programs for employees, focusing on improving
quality awareness, understanding of standards, and best practices across all
processes.
Manage safety data sheets, technical data sheets, and chemical handling guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following but are not
limited to. Special projects and other duties may be assigned as needed.
Perform routine maintenance, on schedule and according to procedure.
Perform order Q.C. checks according to companys quality checklist to ensure
accuracy.
Provide regular feedback on ways to improve processes.
Maintain a very organized, clean, and safe work environment.
Sweep, mop, empty trash cans, clean work surfaces and perform any applicable
maintenance duties to keep the production area suitable for customer tours.
Education & Training
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Associates or bachelors degree in quality assurance, manufacturing technology,
or a related field (preferred).
Training or certification in quality management a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with quality inspection tools.
Knowledge of quality standards and regulations relevant to the industry.
Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as safety data sheets
(SDS), and technical data sheets.
Basic computer skills.
Experience and Other Requirements:
Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing.
Experience with non-conforming product handling and documentation.
Exposure to risk assessments, corrective action plans, and continuous
improvement initiatives.
Experience training or coaching teams on quality practices is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) for reporting, cross-
departmental collaboration, and customer/supplier interactions.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform visual inspections.
Willingness to work in a production/plant environment.
Commitment to safety practices and proper handling of chemicals/materials.
Printing Experience a plus
