Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager oversees the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s financial close and reporting processes. This role partners closely with the Controller to maintain strong accounting policies, internal controls, and GAAP compliance, while driving process improvements and supporting audits and cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Oversee general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports, providing analytical insights.
- Partner with the Controller on accounting policies, workflow improvements, and system enhancements.
- Oversee inventory accounting, capital expenditures, and transactional issue resolution.
- Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to interpret and apply accounting guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of close and reporting.
- Strong ERP experience and advanced Excel skills.
- Background in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred.
