Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This leadership position focuses on driving pharmacy compliance and operational excellence within a fast-growing dermatology pharmacy organization. The role is primarily onsite at the administration office in Franklin, TN, with some quarterly travel to a secondary pharmacy location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead readiness efforts for URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state board compliance initiatives
- Develop and implement scalable standard operating procedures, compliance workflows, tracking systems, and documentation processes
- Conduct mock audits and proactively identify operational gaps and compliance vulnerabilities
- Maintain multi-state licensure tracking and ensure operational compliance standards are met
- Create and lead compliance training programs for pharmacy staff
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to strengthen operational accountability and quality assurance
- Drive consistency, structure, and audit readiness across multiple pharmacy locations
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Pharmacist license required; candidates from various backgrounds will be considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmacy compliance, accreditation, regulatory oversight, or quality assurance preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage teams and projects effectively
- Strong working knowledge of URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state board regulations preferred
- Proven track record in building systems, improving processes, and promoting operational accountability
- Exceptional organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proficiency with compliance systems, spreadsheets, learning management systems (LMS), and reporting tools
Location & Schedule:
- Primarily onsite at administration office in Franklin, TN
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; no weekends or on-call duties
- Some limited remote flexibility after onboarding; occasional quarterly travel to secondary pharmacy location in Abilene, TX
- Preference for local candidates; relocation assistance may be available
