Cost Accountant | Holt, MI
Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare detailed cost reports.
- Develop and maintain standard costs for all products, materials, and labor.
- Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs, identifying root causes.
- Manage inventory valuation, including obsolescence and slow-moving stock analysis.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process for production costs.
- Provide cost data for product pricing and profitability analysis.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP system implementation or advanced configuration (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or SQL for data analysis.
- APICS certification (e.g., CPIM) demonstrating supply chain and production knowledge.
