Water Treatment Manager
Position Overview
The Water Treatment Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing water treatment processes. This role includes managing a team of professionals, driving innovation in water treatment design, and implementing efficient systems for water quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the water treatment department.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal water quality regulations.
- Develop and implement water treatment processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the design and construction of water treatment facilities and storage projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of water treatment facilities to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the training and development of staff in water treatment operations and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on hydraulic modeling and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage capital planning for water treatment projects and budget allocations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in water treatment facility management or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, including filtration, chemical disinfection, and residuals management.
- Experience in the design and construction of water treatment facilities and storage systems.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling and process optimization.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
