Job Overview and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the standards and practices relevant to the state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and during each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Carry out procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient medical record.
- Deliver outstanding care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
- Ensure quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and implement a holistic treatment plan that fosters recovery.
- Facilitate continuity of care by acting as a liaison between healthcare providers and community support systems to address ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Diploma in Nursing.
- No travel is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
