We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter / Sandblaster to join our team in Portland, OR (97203). In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing surfaces for painting and applying finishes that meet our high-quality standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
- Operate sandblasting equipment to remove old paint, rust, and other contaminants.
- Mix and apply paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications.
- Inspect finished work for quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a painter and sandblaster in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to operate sandblasting equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
You should be proficient in:
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
- Industrial & Commercial Painting
