Finishing Supervisor | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $63,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all finishing department activities and personnel.
- Ensure all finished products meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Manage, train, and develop finishing personnel, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Optimize production schedules and workflow to maximize efficiency and meet output targets.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations, company policies, and good manufacturing practices.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing finishing operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a production team to meet quality and production targets.
- Strong technical knowledge of various finishing processes (e.g., painting, assembly, coating, deburring) and associated quality control standards.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and ensure product adherence to quality requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting manufacturing process issues.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and continuous improvement principles.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in ERP/MES systems for production planning and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior team members.
- Background in automated finishing systems or robotics.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician).
