A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist skilled in advanced imaging techniques and vascular procedures. This contract position is based in Winston-Salem, NC, within a prominent academic medical center known for comprehensive stroke care, cancer treatment, and innovative surgical interventions.

Responsibilities include operating the Siemens Hybrid Artis Pheno Fluoroscopy system with expert proficiency, supporting neuro and body interventional radiology teams, scrubbing and circulating in the OR, managing equipment and supplies, and troubleshooting minor technical issues. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary group comprising neuro radiologists and surgeons, participating in procedures such as angiography, aneurysm repair, peripheral vascular interventions, and carotid surgeries. The ability to provide coverage in floating roles is required based on case load.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Minimum one year post-graduation and/or on-the-job experience as an IR Technologist
  • Proficiency with Siemens Hybrid Artis Pheno Fluoroscopy unit without additional training
  • Certification: ARRT(R) minimum, preference for VI or CV; RCIS with vascular rotations acceptable
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS desirable
  • Experience in scrubbing, circulating, and assisting in IR procedures in an OR setting
  • Familiarity with EPIC Encompass EMR and department-specific equipment including Siemens ARTIS Q and GE Ultrasound
  • Ability to work scheduled weekend on-call rotations and weekday call shifts
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
