Position Overview

Outdoor Comfort Solutions is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Salesperson/Estimator to help homeowners design and price beautiful, comfortable, and functional outdoor living spaces. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with people, has construction knowledge, and wants to grow with a company that values integrity, quality, and community.


As a key member of our team, you will guide customers through the design process, create concept drawings, develop detailed cost estimates, and help them envision how to make the most of their outdoor living spaces. You will represent a brand known for premium craftsmanship, honesty, and a family-first culture.

Responsibilities

Customer Consultation & Sales

  • Meet with customers in the showroom and at their homes to understand their needs, lifestyle, and outdoor living goals.
  • Present product options such as sunrooms, patio enclosures, power screens, awnings, patio covers, privacy solutions, and custom decks.
  • Provide a warm, professional, trustworthy experience that reflects our vision of treating customers like family.
  • Prepare and present proposals that clearly communicate scope, design intent, and costs.

Design & Estimating

  • Create concept drawings, basic layouts, or visual representations to help customers understand their project.
  • Produce accurate and detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and any required subcontracted services.
  • Ensure estimates align with company standards for profitability and craftsmanship.
  • Work with the production team to validate feasibility and installation considerations.


Project Coordination

  • Communicate clearly and proactively with customers throughout the sales and estimating process.
  • Work closely with the production manager and office team to ensure smooth handoffs after a project is sold.
  • Update the CRM and maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and project notes.


Brand Representation

  • Represent Outdoor Comfort Solutions at Home & Garden Shows, local events, and community functions.
  • Uphold our brand of best-in-class quality, integrity, and customer care.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct at all times.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Construction knowledge sufficient to understand structures, materials, design principles, and installation requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans, measurements, and jobsite conditions.
  • Experience in sales, estimating, or design is preferred (outdoor living, sunrooms, decks, or remodeling experience is a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills -- able to build trust quickly.
  • Comfortable using design tools, sketch apps, or basic CAD/drawing software (training available).
  • Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Professional, positive, humble, and customer-focused.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary + commission (earning potential grows as you grow).
  • Realistic earning potential of $80,000 - $120,000
