We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a busy and growing finance team. This position is ideal for someone with strong AP processing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The AP Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, managing vendor relationships, and supporting overall accounts payable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up new vendors and ensure required documentation is collected before issuing payments

• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain AP records

• Analyze, code, and process high-volume invoices for multiple business units

• Perform 2-way and 3-way matching for inventory-related invoices, including complex PO matching

• Route non-PO invoices for internal review and approval in line with delegation of authority policies

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices

• Review and reconcile Received Not Vouchered (RNV) reports on a monthly basis

• Assist with internal and external audits as required

• Support any acquisition transition activities when needed

• Adhere to company AP procedures and internal controls

• Proactively identify and resolve day-to-day processing issues

• Participate in additional projects or tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mid- to high-volume AP processing environment

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills

• Clear and professional communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Familiarity with JD Edwards (EnterpriseOne) or similar ERP systems

• Knowledge of P-Card or corporate credit card processing

• Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment
