Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers an opportunity to support diverse learners as an Elementary Special Education Teacher within a resource room and self-contained classroom setting. The role is based in Clinton Township, MI, serving an elementary school caseload that includes creative learning programs and students with varying needs across lower and upper elementary grades.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction and support through resource room and self-contained settings.
Design and implement creative learning plans aligned with student needs and program goals.
Collaborate with colleagues and families to foster a positive educational environment.
Manage and adapt curriculum to meet the requirements of a diverse student population.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Bachelors degree in Education; Masters or Doctoral degree in Special Education preferred.
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with special education endorsements (no substitute licenses accepted).
Experience working with diverse student populations is highly valued.
Ability to manage and instruct elementary special education caseloads effectively.

Location and Schedule:

Position is full-time, up to 40 hours weekly.
Contract period: Immediate through June 11, 2026.
Located in Clinton Township, Michigan.
