    Job Details
  • Responsible for providing an advanced clinical level of quality patient care while producing radiologic images used for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Completing x-rays effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care to provide a remarkable patient experience.
  • Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient's condition to obtain quality images for radiologists.
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning patients.
  • Explains procedures to patients considering physical and emotional needs.
  • Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintains pertinent records.
  • Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • May assist Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms.
    Job Requirements
  • Position requires patient care.
  • Documentation of two measles vaccines, two mumps vaccines, and one rubella vaccine or two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity via blood test.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15th - April 30th).
  • Documentation of TB skin test screening within 3 months of start date or negative QuantiFERON TB Test or T-spot within 3 months of start date.
  • Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
  • MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break.
  • MGB Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break.
  • MGB Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation if fit test is required for skill.
  • MGB References: 2 recent references, minimum 1 Supervisor or Above, in skillset.
  • MGB Skills Checklist required for submission.
  • MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions.
  • MGB Education Verification to verify highest level of education achieved.
  • MGB SSN Trace listing addresses/aliases for past 7 years.
  • MGB National Sex Offender Check within 30 days of start and updated annually.
  • MGB Exclusion Checks within 30 days of start and annually.
  • MGB Candidate Submission Coversheet required for submission.
    Additional Details

  • TB test documentation must be updated if there is a >6 month break.
  • Physician statement must be updated if there is a >6 month break.

  • Respirator Medical Clearance questionnaire must be updated if there is a change in medical status.
  • Positive PPD requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after positive test (optional).
