Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support a high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratory in an acute care hospital setting. The technologist will assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and procedural efficiency.
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong technical expertise, scrub experience, and the ability to respond to on-call needs.
Shift & Schedule

Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts

Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Weekly Hours: 40 hours

On-Call Requirement: Yes, as needed

Work Environment

Acute care hospital

Teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center

Moderate-to-high cath lab volume
-
Approximate daily caseload: 15 patients per technologist

Floating required to affiliated sister facility within scope of practice
Key Responsibilities
-
Scrub and assist during diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures
-
Operate fluoroscopy and C-arm imaging equipment
-
Scrub, stent, and drive the table during procedures
-
Assist with coronary and peripheral angiograms
-
Support right and left heart catheterizations
-
Assist with advanced cardiac and vascular interventions, including:
-
Stents
-
ASD and PFO closures
-
Atherectomy (CSI, Rotablade, Rota-Pro)
-
Impella
-
EKOS
-
-
Support CV and PVD lab procedures
-
Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
-
Accurately document procedures in the electronic medical record
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members
Required Qualifications
-
ARRT (R) certification
-
BLS certification
-
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Cath Lab Tech (X-ray Tech background)

Proven scrub experience in cath lab procedures
-
Strong knowledge of coronary and peripheral vascular interventions
-
Ability to take on-call shifts and respond within required timeframe
Preferred Qualifications

ACLS certification
-
ARRT Advanced Certification

Experience with:

Philips and Siemens imaging systems
-
MedRad injectors
-
Mac Lab, Q-Site, Synapse
-
Epic (Excellian) charting systems
