Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist opportunity is available at an elementary school in Minneapolis, MN, for the uping school year. This contract position offers an engaging environment to support the social, emotional, and academic development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and support services to students to promote mental health and positive behavior
- Assist in crisis intervention and behavior management as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional insights
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a school psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of child development, special education laws, and assessment tools
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain accurate records
