Job Summary and QualificationsWhat qualifications you will need:
The Emergency Services Transport EMT will operate on the Palms West Transport Services Team. The primary duty of the Transport EMT will be to assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of Palms West Hospital patients. The Transport EMT will respond to Transfer Center requests, coordinate with other healthcare providers, and facilitate transport appropriately.
Paramedic Transport job involves responding to medical emergencies, providing advanced critical care during transport, and operating emergency medical vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:

Administering treatments

Communicating patient data to medical personnel at the receiving facility.

Qualifications:

Florida Paramedic License: Valid Paramedic license from the state of Florida is required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of employment

Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC): Completion of an EVOC course is often required.

Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and transport patients, sometimes in adverse conditions.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals

State Driver's License with a clear Driving record

Associates Degree or Vocational School graduate
