Job Title: OR Tech / Surgical Tech
Location: Syracuse, NY
Type: Contract
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 – 15:00)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking OR Tech / Surgical Tech for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and maintain sterile surgical environments
- Scrub and assist during surgical procedures
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies
- Support surgical teams during procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
- Assist with patient positioning and room setup
- Ensure accurate instrument and supply counts
- Support efficient turnover between surgical cases
- Communicate effectively with surgical team members
- Perform additional duties as assigned within surgical services
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 4 years
- Experience in Level I or Level II trauma center or teaching hospital required
- Strong scrub experience required
- Experience with orthopedic, general, ENT, vascular, and GYN procedures
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- License/certification in good standing
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
- BLS Certification preferred
- Experience in neurosurgery, trauma, bariatric, GU, and pediatric surgery
- Previous travel experience preferred
