Pay Rate: $20 USD

Summary: The Commercial Banking Intern is responsible for learning the fundamentals of Credit Administration, supporting the day-to-day tasks and activities, and ad-hoc financial projects. Primary objectives include workplace experience in a “Banking as a Career” environment. During the program, the candidate will rotate through several departments that are critical to the Bank’s operations including commercial lending, credit analysis, treasury management, and retail operations. Training is conducted within a mentorship framework, necessitating frequent interaction with Administration Managers. Applicants must be available for a 12-week paid internship program which begins mid-May through mid-August in Evansville, IN. This is a part-time position (less than 30 hours per week). Flex hours based on class schedule.

Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with all Administrative and Commercial Lending team members to gain exposure to their areas of expertise (e.g., Loan Analysis/Underwriting, Approval, Lending, Retail, and Treasury Management).
  • Assist in loan presentation and commercial loan structure.
  • Research business and industry trends.
  • Participate in joint customer sales calling efforts.
  • Some travel for exposures to different business lines of the bank.

Education/Experience:

  • College student pursuing a career in a Business or Finance major.
  • Minimum of 2 years of college completed.
  • Some experience in a professional office environment preferred.
