Position Summary:
Develop and implement inventory management processes that optimize on-time shipping performance, inventory levels, product and transportation cost while ensuring end-customer satisfaction. Lead the inventory management (Warehouse team), develop enhanced plant-wide material control processes that improve inventory accuracy performance, lower transportation costs and drive/contribute to various cross-functional supply chain improvement projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops and implements production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and inventory storage processes to include kanban replenishment, backflushing, Fishbowl transfer order, WIP issuance/consumption, reverse logistics…
· Lead inventory warehouse function with respect to inventory accuracy, material control processes, material flow, department layout/organization, people development and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze inventory discrepancy trends and implement corrective measures as appropriate.
- Manages year-end physical inventory as required and performs regular inventory write-offs on obsolete and/or damaged goods as appropriate
- Work with Inventory department and other functions including planning, outsourcing, purchasing, product management and engineering to maintain accurate information regarding inventory stock levels, kanban variables, safety stock, time fences, Fish Bowl releases, order status within SAI’s ERP, order management and inventory systems in order to enhance system integrity
- Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs by conducting competitive bid processes on an annual basis (minimum)
- Provide summary feedback on critical supply chain performance metrics, interpret/maintain charts and reports to communicate progress on major objectives and improvement initiatives

· Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
- Complete other assignments as required by the business

Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain management from an accredited university
· 1-3 years' experience in purchasing required, specifically in manufacturing a plus
· Experience with ERP systems such as Job Scope a plus
· Experience with Fishbowl inventory management system a plus
· Supply chain or previous experience in Outsourcing
Knowledge and Skills:

Must be able to read, write and converse fluently in English with the level of competency that will permit the applicant to function in the position.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with vendors, technical resources, internal teams and SAI management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced schedule-driven environment. Timing is a critical function and is the key value that SAI provides to our customers.
- Proficient with inventory reporting systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Positive attitude, team player, good attendance, hard worker
- Strong attention to details
