CT Technologist (Night Shift) – ARRT (R) Required
Location: Farmington Hills, MI (On-site)
Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | 12-hour shifts | Weekend rotation every other | No on-call
Pay: $64.43/hr


A hospital imaging department is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift role performing diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) exams in a fast-paced clinical environment. This CT Technologist position is ideal for an ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist who delivers high-quality CT images, supports safe contrast workflows, and consistently follows radiation safety best practices. Summary


As a CT Technologist, you will perform CT imaging exams, verify patient identity and physician orders, educate patients and families prior to each exam, and document patient history accurately. You will operate CT equipment, complete required quality control and quality assurance testing, and ensure images are available for interpretation through PACS and hospital systems. You’ll also maintain a clean, stocked exam environment and collaborate closely with radiology and clinical teams.


Responsibilities


  • Perform diagnostic CT scans using appropriate imaging equipment and established protocols
  • Verify patient identification and physician orders prior to scanning
  • Provide procedural education and instructions to patients/families before each exam
  • Obtain and document accurate patient history in the medical record
  • Start IVs and assist with contrast media injections as required
  • Operate CT equipment; complete QC/QA testing and monitor image quality
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort
  • Relay STAT needs to the radiology team in a timely manner
  • Use hospital systems for order verification, schedules, and sending images to PACS
  • Wipe down equipment between patients; keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready for the next case
  • Communicate effectively with technologists, radiologists, and support staff to maintain efficient workflow


Qualifications


  • Associate’s Degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program (or equivalent)
  • ARRT (Radiography) required upon hire
  • BLS required (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • CT credential/registry pathway preferred; ability to obtain CT credential within 1 year as applicable
  • 1+ year experience preferred; strong clinical skills and commitment to ALARA radiation safety principles
  • Able to work nights and an every-other-weekend rotation reliably
