Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech’s reasonable and good-faith estimate for new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position $20.75 - $22.75 per hour. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Job Summary
Under limited supervision, loads outgoing materials and prepares products and other materials for shipment using freight bills. Operates hand jack and forklift equipment. Writes up or checks necessary paperwork in connection with shipments to ensure proper material delivery.
Essential Job Functions
- Follows shipping schedule and reports accordingly, drawing on outside trucks and drivers as needed
- Load finished goods through the use of forklifts and/or pallet jacks
- Enter shipping related data entry transactions within the ERP system (Epicor)
- Ensures all shipments comply with company procedures and work instructions, picking, packing, addressing, labeling, documentation, carrier routing/scheduling, tracking and customer authorizations
- Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating information with internal and external customers on finished good shortages
- Responsible for keeping inventory in an organized in logical manner on shipping dock, ensure efficient and safe picking operations
- Process UPS and FedEx shipments as required per sales order shipment report
- Complies with all applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to Supervisor or appropriate resources
- Maintain a clean and organized 5S work environment
- Pick and pack sales orders as required
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus six to twelve months experience
- Forklift training and certification required
- Ability to lift and perform other physically demanding tasks associated with material handling and receiving
- Accurate counting skill
- Some computer skills
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with team members
- Ability to lead small groups and provide work direction
