Job Overview:
We are looking for a full-time delivery person who has experience driving in the Northeast Ohio Area. The position requires a person who is upbeat, energetic, and has a bright personality. Our delivery drivers are the face of our company, and it is their job to convey our brand message each and every day! We have a new fleet of vehicles and offer all of the tools needed to complete the route. We have a fleet of vehicles and offer all of the tools needed to complete the route. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely service, and providing excellent customer interactions. This roll requires a professional driver with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries. Prior experience with commercial driving, warehouse operations, or courier services is highly valued.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle for route driving and deliveries throughout Bedford Heights and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently to meet customer expectations and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Assist with warehouse organization and inventory management as needed.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving responsibilities.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to moving goods safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to driving and material handling.
- Excellent navigation skills for efficient route planning in Bedford Heights and nearby areas.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
