Job Description Accounting Clerk The Accounting Clerk supports a multi ? store automotive dealership network by completing Ohio and out ? of ? state title and registration work, processing deals, assisting with light accounting, providing administrative support, and offering customer service. This role requires strong accuracy, organization, and communication while coordinating with customers, lenders, internal departments, and state agencies. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $24/hr. depending on experience. Job Duties
- Prepare and submit title and registration paperwork for Ohio and out ? of ? state transactions
- Process Ohio titles through county title offices and BMV systems
- Coordinate out ? of ? state title requirements, including forms, taxes, inspections, and courier/mail needs
- Verify vehicle, customer, and lender information for accuracy and completeness
- Track title status, resolve corrections or rejections, and maintain title and MSO logs
- Review deal documents and post deals into the DMS
- Scan, index, and organize electronic and physical deal files
- Assist with funding packets and track outstanding stipulations
- Post payments, reconcile daily cash reports, and support light accounting tasks
- Assist with journal entries, schedule reconciliations, and month-end processing
- Handle phones, emails, and customer inquiries professionally
- Prepare outgoing mail, title packets, and general administrative documentation
- Provide updates to customers regarding title and registration timelines
- Support office organization, record retention, and audit requests as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in administrative work, accounting, office coordination, or customer service required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation
- Ability to learn dealership, title, and registration processes (training provided)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and willingness to learn dealership management systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and time ? management skills
- Notary commission or willingness to obtain preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Full ? time, on ? site role with occasional travel to local title offices
- Occasional overtime during month ? end or high ? volume periods
