Job DescriptionAs a Radiation Therapist at Sable Corporation, you will be responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer and other diseases. Your expertise and skills in radiation therapy will be critical in helping us to achieve our goal of providing the best possible treatment options for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients undergoing radiation therapy treatment
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients
- Ensure accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy by following treatment protocols and radiation safety measures
- Monitor and document patient response to treatment, including any side effects or other concerns
- Educate patients on the treatment process and potential side effects
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including calibrating and troubleshooting when necessary
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatment
- Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure the safety and effectiveness of treatments
- Keep up-to-date on new developments and technologies in the field of radiation therapy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field
- Current certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in radiation therapy
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Flexibility to work with varying schedules and handle emergency situations
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems
