Job DescriptionMedical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Operating Room.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required in an OR setting/ortho experience is a plus

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 7:00AM-6:00PM, Monday through Friday. 4 X 10 hour shifts. Client is a Surgery Center - some days are shorter and some days are longer....the 4 work days will vary week to week but they always will be between Monday and Friday. No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays, No call - located in Hampton, VA (23666).

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Required: 1 + years experience as a Registered Nurse in an OR setting
• Required: Valid Virginia RN License or valid multi-state (compact) RN licensure
• Required: BLS
• Required: Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Required: License verification
• Required: OIG exclusion
• Required: Flu vaccine
• Preferred: Experience working in an ortho setting

Benefits:

• $38.00-$44.00/hr (depending on experience level)
